These come in any size from a quarter inch up to five inches in diameter! The color also varies from a solid color to more of an aggregate stone look. Installing stone in your landscaping beds costs more to install then mulch, but it will also outlast mulch by many years. Stone will never blow away or rot like mulch. Stone makes it easy to clean out your landscaping beds; because you can blow out the leaves and grass clippings. - Bark Mulch
On the other hand, mulch is also a good option. Mulch has a soft look to it and a fresh smell. It is very easy to install and adds instant beauty. Ideally, you will want to add a fresh layer of mulch to your landscaping beds each spring.
